Important info for U7 Parents
Submitted By Jody Caughy on Wednesday, November 11, 2020
Clearview Minor Hockey is very excited to be able to offer a trial U7 program with Jan Hulme of SK8 Georgian Bay over the next 6 weeks! We thank our U7’s for their patience over the past few months as we work through creating a safe return to hockey for this age group. The U7 program will be returning back to the ice tomorrow, Thursday November 12, 2020!!!

As you prepare to get your players ready for tomorrow night, we want to share a few changes that you will notice are different with hockey this year and encourage you read our CMH Return to Play Plan created for the 20/21 season.

-       Entry into the arena will not be allowed until 15 minutes BEFORE scheduled ice time.

-       Players will need to be pre-dressed before they enter into the arena. To help with getting dressed and tying skates Clearview Township has provided a covered tent in front of the main entrance as a safe place for you to do this. NO Change rooms are open at this time.

-       Masks are required for players and parents/guardians in the tent.

-       Once players are ready to put in mouth guards and helmets are on, players can then remove their mask and head directly to the ice.

-       There is NO access to the water fountain inside, please send your player with a PRE-FILLED water bottle, labeled with their name.

-       Please try to be on-time; doors will lock a start of ice-time and your player may not be allowed in.

CMH has decided to utilize the SportsHeadz digital health screen system as a safe and efficient way to collect health screens for this season! This program is flexible with website access (computer or mobile) or you can choose to download the SportsHeadz app! All of you hopefully will have received an email inviting you to register with the SprotsHeadz system from [email protected].com today. If you haven’t received an email, please check your junk/spam folder. Follow the instructions in the email to register and become familiar with the program.

Health screens are MANDATORY before every scheduled ice session. Once you are registered you will see the team name displayed on your main page – this will look different depending if you use the website or the app. At this time health screens are required for tomorrows session – screens will be available to be completed 24-hours before your ice time.

Simply log-on to SportsHeadz or open the app, identify if you are attending:
-          If you select NO, you are done and the coaches will see you are not attending.
-          If YES; it will prompt you to complete the health screen **be sure to click SUBMIT at the end of questions!!! This will need to happen twice!

Coaching staff will be able to see who is attending, who has completed a screen and who hasn’t enter anything yet!

If you arrive at your ice time and forgot to complete the health screen? No problem, you can access the health screen from our website (go to your team page) OR download the SportsHeadz app on
Google Play OR in the App store!

**REMEMBER you can only be admitted into the arena 15 minutes before ice time and arena doors will lock at the scheduled ice time.

Please remember this is an on-going learning curve for all of us – CMH Executive, Coaching Staff, Players, Families and Town Staff, we all need to work together to make this successful! We know that there are lots of changes and we will try our best to keep you updated and informed. We continue to ask our Canucks families to remain flexible and positive during this time. We want everyone to remember our ultimate goal is to get our players safely back on the ice and being active in the game they love!
